Description
Butterflyfish Copperband
The Copperband Butterflyfish (Chelmon rostratus) is a graceful saltwater species native to coral reefs in the Indo-Pacific. Its elongated snout and bold orange and white stripes make it a centerpiece in large reef tanks. This peaceful fish is ideal for experienced aquarists due to its specialized care needs.
Provide a tank with live rock for grazing and plenty of open swimming areas. Feed it a varied diet of live brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and frozen marine food. The Copperband Butterflyfish is best suited for well-established reef tanks with stable parameters.
